PROGRAM OVERVIEW & CRITERIA Named for the late legendary Texas Attorney Warren Burnett, this award, presented by the State Bar of Texas Legal Services to the Poor in Criminal Matters Committee, recognizes an attorney or organization for extraordinary contributions to improving the quality of criminal legal representation to indigent Texans. The award will be given to an attorney or organization for their work in the courtroom, legislature, or the community. The award is presented at the Annual Meeting in June
