The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law

"In order to be eligible, a nominee shall have performed meritorious teaching of the law of natural resources or natural resources development to students in either classroom setting or in presentations given at short courses or institutes under the auspices of the Foundation or similar not-for-profit organizations. In determining eligibility, excellence in teaching performance shall be the primary criterion for the award and consideration shall be given to the fostering of a broad understanding of the law, mentoring of students, and innovative style together with any other teaching qualities as may be determined to be relevant by the Selection Committee."

If you would like to nominate someone for this award, please email our Executive Director, Alex Ritchie, at aritchie@fnrel.org with their name and a brief statement of why they should be considered. The statement should discuss their teaching as well as their scholarship. The Committee would appreciate receiving your nominations at your earliest convenience, but no later than Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

Please note that the award is not limited to full-time faculty. Please consider deserving adjunct faculty or others meeting the qualifications in your thinking. On behalf of the other Committee members Robin Kundis Craig (USC), K.K.
