Submissions should focus on an aspect of financial accounting and reporting that best reflects the tradition of academic scholarship and discuss current problems facing the accounting profession and standard-setters. Papers must have been published within the previous five calendar years prior to the award year.

Submissions should include a letter, preferably by a non-author of the paper, explaining the basis for the nomination. At least one author must be a member of the Section. Email submissions as a PDF file to Chris Williams the Chair of the Best Paper Award Committee (williacd@umich.edu).
