Awardees should be in the process of planning or implementing a public service program and a younger lawyer (under 40 or with <10 years of practice). Nominees provide information on where the grant funds will be used and the viability and potential value of the service to the affected community.

A Younger Lawyers Committee must be established through the FBA prior to the nominees consideration for the grant. This committee will administer the award funds. Nomination applications should be emailed to awards@fedbar.org with the subject line "Shaw Younger Lawyer Public Service Grant - Name of Nominee".
