Applicants are typically post-doctoral through mid-career individuals looking to develop studies on any aspect of grassland science. Proposal of studies must be included. Applicants must be individuals (a) applying to undertake a study period in the UK/Ireland whom are not from the UK/Ireland or (b) employed or currently reside in the UK/Ireland applying to undertake a study period in any other country.

Fellowships are normally awarded for periods of 1-6 months. Award covers cost of travel to and from the UK/Ireland and some internal travel. The applicant must pre-establish a host organization in the UK/Ireland and obtain their agreement to submit the application to the Trust. Up to £7,000 (~$9,000) is awarded to each chosen fellow.
