Tenured faculty at the rank of Professor, who do not otherwise have a research-based professorial title (Distinguished, Regents or endowed professorship or chair) will be eligible for consideration as a University Professor. A CV and letter of nomination (<2000 words) discussing breadth and importance of nominee's scholarship, evidence of recognition, and others.

The program is designed to honor faculty who have demonstrated significant and sustained accomplishment in their discipline that has gained recognition both nationally and internationally and who also excel in teaching and service. Nominations should be submitted as a single PDF file to the Office of the Dean of Faculties at awardsprograms@tamu.edu.
