The award seeks to honor an individual with a distinguished career of teaching, service, and scholarship for at least 20 years. Recipients should have impacted women, the legal community, the academy, and issues that affect women through mentoring, writing, speaking, and by providing opportunities to others.

Information on whether the award will be given out in a particular year will be sent out via the listserv by March 15th of each year. The winner will be announced by Nov. 1st.
