Eligible papers are on the subject of law and religion and were published between 8/16/2020-8/15/2021. Awardees are scholars within their first 10 years of teaching at an AALS member school. The article must be nominated by a faculty member at an AALS member school.

The Harold Berman Prize is also known as the Law and Religion Award for Excellence in Scholarship.
