Any local or state bar association in the United States that has 1) developed or significantly expanded a project or program for providing access to legal services for the poor or 2) demonstated long term excellence in maintaining projects or programs providing such access may apply or be nominated

For 2021, the award is focusing on nominees who have addressed legal needs arising as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nomination packets must be emailed to Tamaara Piquion at tamaara.piquion@americanbar.org.  All supporting materials should be compiled into one document (preferably PDF) when sent. The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 29, 2022. When sending any supporting materials, include the nominee's name in the subject line. Format: 2022 HT Award Nomination for Nominee's Name.   One document with narrative first followed by all supporting materials is preferred.
