Eligibility This award is open to all Texas A&M University colleges and schools: College of Agriculture & Life Sciences, College of Architecture, Mays Business School, College of Education & Human Development, College of Engineering, College of Geosciences, College of Liberal Arts, College of Science, College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, Texas A&M University at Galveston, Texas A&M University at Qatar, College of Dentistry, School of Public Health, Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy, College of Nursing, College of Medicine, School of Law, and Bush School of Government & Public Service. Texas A&M faculty are eligible if they are: 1. Academic Professional Track with teaching as the focus of their appointment 2. Full time faculty for at least two full academic years (four consecutive long semesters) 3. Primarily involved in teaching undergraduate, graduate, or professional students 4. Not retiring before or in the same semester of the award luncheon 5. Not a previous Provost Academic Professional Track Teaching Excellence awardee

The Provost Academic Professional Track (APT) Faculty Teaching Excellence Award, established in 2019, encourages, recognizes and rewards faculty recipients for exceptional teaching practices that create meaningful learning experiences for students. It illustrates both the impact of an effective teaching approach and the value of student-centered learning. Recipients of this award receive a $5,000 monetary gift, generously gifted by the Marie M. and James H. Galloway Foundation, to support teaching innovations and teaching-related projects/activities. Recipients will hold this award title for life. Call for Nominations The call for nominations opens annually early fall semester and closes before the winter break. To nominate an APT faculty member for the Provost Academic Professional Track Faculty Teaching Excellence Award, please refer to the Award Guidelines and nomination packet below. CTE will convene a committee of faculty to identify the final 10 recipients.
