For current and prospective law students who have not received this scholarship in the previous year. Submissions should be a 1,000 word, or more, essay that focuses on the importance of providing free legal services to those who cannot afford it and why it is beneficial to the community and legal system as a whole.

The Texas State Bar for attorneys (as well as other state bar organization) highly encourages attorneys to perform pro-bono work. Winners will be announced on or before August 2, 2021. Open to students who have been accepted into law school, even if not currently attending.
